Weekly recognition allows fans to become Crunch Time Heroes, benefits The Archer Foundation
DALLAS, Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Rudolph Foods and PorkRinds.com, the nation's premier hub for pork rind lovers and home to top brands like Southern Recipe Small Batch, announces the return of its annual "Crunch Time Hero® of the Week" program. The weekly program recognizes college football players who deliver game-changing performances throughout the regular season while helping raise awareness and support for families affected by pediatric brain cancer.
Now in its fourth season, the program honors one standout college football player each week, from season-opening matchups through the end of the regular season, based on outstanding performance. Each "Crunch Time Hero® of the Week" honoree receives a commemorative prize package and a supply of pork rinds to share with teammates, and is featured in an exclusive interview with sports personality Peighton Tubre on @eatporkrinds on Instagram.
At season's end, the player whose video receives the most shares will be named the 2026 Crunch Time Hero® of the Year, earning a VIP invitation to represent the brand at Radio Row during Super Bowl week in 2027.
Being a Crunch Time Hero® extends beyond the football field as well. For each weekly winner, Rudolph Foods will donate $3 for every share of the player's interview post to the Archer Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports families affected by DIPG/DMG pediatric brain cancer. Each video will be eligible for shares and votes during a two-week window.
"Crunch Time is all about stepping up when it matters most," said Mark Singleton, vice president of sales and marketing at Rudolph Foods. "This program celebrates the athletes making those defining plays while giving fans an easy way to support families facing one of the toughest battles imaginable. Every share helps raise awareness and contributes to a cause that means a great deal to us."
To support the cause and celebrate the college football season, Southern Recipe Small Batch will be launching three bold new pork rind flavors: Air Fried Buffalo Wing and Air Fried Pizza, plus a Pimento Cheese flavor cooked in lard. The Air Fried Pizza flavor was created in honor of the Archer Foundation's namesake, Archer Hill, who lost his life to DIPG at age 6 — pizza was one of his favorite foods.
Fans can follow the weekly winners throughout the college football season on Instagram at @eatporkrinds and visit PorkRinds.com for more information. To learn more about the Archer Foundation and its mission to support families affected by pediatric brain cancer, visit www.archer-foundation.org.
