BOSTON, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Community Catalyst, the nation's leading health advocacy organization, this morning launched its Vote Like Your Health Depends On It campaign (#VoteLikeHealth) ahead of the midterm elections in November. The campaign will activate the organization's significant and growing base of advocates, storytellers, supporters and partners across the country to ensure healthcare is a priority when people begin voting over the coming months.
"Healthcare sits at the top of the 2026 ticket," said Shaina Goodman, Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs at Community Catalyst. "Whether it's yet another unaffordable daily cost, a small-town hospital closing or fighting with an insurance company for a procedure recommended by your doctor, people are done with a system that feels built to prevent them from being healthy. We're going to ensure that these issues are top of mind for voters over the next two months as absentee ballots start hitting mailboxes and people head to the polls."
From now until Election Day, the #VoteLikeHealth campaign will arm voters with the materials and means to uplift the three main pain points people encounter in the healthcare system and demand a clear vision for fixing them from their potential representatives in government:
- Is your healthcare affordable? Not just the co-pays and deductibles and bills, but the stress, time, travel, and impossible choices that come with getting care. How much is it really costing you?
- Is your healthcare accessible? Can you use your coverage when you need it? Does it cover the things you need like your teeth, mental health or birth control?
- Is your healthcare accountable? Does it work for you, or do you work for it? Are you dealing with denials, red tape or surprise bills?
In the coming months thousands of advocates, storytellers and supporters will be taking the #VoteLikeHealth pledge, sharing their personal stories, posting on social media and reaching out to the press to highlight the importance of healthcare in their decision-making on Election Day.
