MEDIA ADVISORY - SOGC to Lead March to End Violence Against Women on Parliament Hill

OTTAWA, ON, June 11, 2026 /CNW/ - The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) will host a March to End Violence Against Women on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, bringing together health care professionals, advocates, community members and conference delegates to raise awareness of the ongoing crisis of gender-based violence in Canada.

Join the SOGC as we march to Parliament Hill in support of ending violence against women.

The march will take place ahead of the SOGC's Annual Clinical and Scientific Conference (ACSC) and will highlight the need for continued action to prevent violence against women and girls and to support those affected by it.

Members of the public and supporters are invited to join the march and stand in solidarity against gender-based violence. Those interested in taking part can sign up through the event registration page.

Date: Tuesday, June 16, 2026

Time: 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ET

Location: Departure: Rogers Centre Ottawa
55 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, ON. Participants will walk from the Rogers Centre Ottawa to Parliament Hill.
