Philadelphia, Atlanta bank launches customer-focused anniversary celebrations highlighting relationships, community impact and a forward-looking vision ahead of Nov. 20 milestone

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyperion Bancshares, Inc., the holding company for Hyperion Bank, is celebrating the bank's 20th anniversary, recognizing two decades of relationship-driven community banking. The official anniversary is Nov. 20, 2026.

Founded in 2006 with a mission to combine accessible and experienced bankers, tailored banking solutions and local decision making with modern technology, Hyperion has grown into a full-service community bank serving individual and business customers across the Philadelphia Region (its headquarters) and Metro Atlanta.

"Twenty years represents far more than a timeline – it reflects thousands of relationships built on trust," says Lou DeCesare, a Philly native who is President & COO of Hyperion Bank. "Our anniversary is an opportunity to say thank you to the customers, team members and partners who have grown alongside us, and to reaffirm the values that guide every decision we make. We're ready for our next 20 years of banking and backing our communities."

Among the celebrations marking Hyperion's 20th anniversary, the bank is inviting customers, neighbors and business partners to visit its Philadelphia and Atlanta banking offices for treats and giveaways to mark the milestone of 20 years of banking & backing its communities. During regular banking hours, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., it will be sharing goodies and swag, while visiting with and thanking everyone. The ongoing drop-in event is running Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, Nov. 9, 10, 12 and 13, as Wednesday, Nov. 11 is the Veterans Day holiday.

"Our story has always been about the communities we serve and our exceptional, responsive bankers who keep that service promise daily," says longtime community banker Charlie Crawford, Chair & CEO of Hyperion, who also is a member of the board of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh. "Reaching our 20th anniversary gives us a moment to share where we're going – including continued investment in technology, even deeper commercial relationships and new ways to support small businesses and local families."

The full-service community bank was established in 2006l; its Philadelphia headquarters, circa 1871, was originally a bank. When Hyperion opened, it restored the historic building, preserving a neighborhood landmark while giving it a new chapter in community banking. The bank expanded to Atlanta in 2019 and further expanded in 2020 through Hyperion Mortgage, a joint venture now operating across seven states.

The bank's growth has been noted by its inclusion in the Inc. 5000 for 2024, 2025 and 2026; likewise, it has made the Philadelphia Business Journal's Fast 50 (formerly called the Soaring 76) the past seven consecutive years and was the only bank on that list the past three years.

Industry leaders say the milestone – especially significant for a community bank – underscores the strength of relationship banking. "Community banks like Hyperion play a vital role in strengthening local economies," says Kevin Shivers, CEO and executive director of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers. "Reaching 20 years certainly reflects a sustained commitment to customers and communities, and PACB applauds Hyperion's focus on relationship-driven growth."

John A. McNair, President/CEO of the Community Bankers Association of Georgia adds, "Hyperion's presence in the Atlanta market demonstrates how community banks can expand thoughtfully while staying rooted in personal service. This anniversary is a testament to the trust they've earned from customers across the state and region."

As Hyperion Bank celebrates its 20th anniversary, it continues to demonstrate strong financial momentum. Through the third quarter of 2026, the bank's total assets reached $589.8 million, up 13.5% year over year and approaching the $600 million milestone. Deposits increased 27.1% to $448.2 million, while loans grew 13.9% to $502.7 million. Net income for the first nine months of the year rose 44% to $2.06 million, reflecting the bank's disciplined growth strategy, expanding customer relationships and continued commitment to serving businesses and individuals in Philadelphia, Atlanta and beyond.
