"In Michael's Eye's" revisits a 1970s connection shaped by music, memory and spirituality

ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- More than five decades after the events took place, Ruth Klawitter is officially publishing "In Michael's Eyes: Music, Deep Pools and Souls," a short nonfiction work about a memorable encounter with a musician whose influence stayed with her long after their time together ended.

Originally written and printed for family and friends, the story recounts Klawitter's experiences in the 1970s, when she was seeking guitar lessons. She and her young daughter met Michael, a talented musician and guitar instructor whose peaceful demeanor and outlook on life quickly made an impression. Klawitter has now chosen to formally publish the story she has carried for decades, allowing readers to share in this memorable encounter.

At the center of the book is the evolving relationship between Klawitter and Michael, whose conversations about music and spirituality and their connection culminate in a profound spiritual encounter, one Klawitter continues to remember decades later.

"The short time that I knew him he became an inspiration for me; he was a beautiful example of a human being," Klawitter said.

Her story invites readers to reflect on the people who leave a lasting mark on our lives long after they are gone.

Klawitter draws on memories spanning more than five decades to explore how a single person can shape our understanding of music, spirituality and human connection.

"In Michael's Eyes" may appeal to readers interested in memoir, relationships, spirituality and personal reflection, particularly those drawn to stories about meaningful encounters and the lasting impact people can have on our lives through never-forgotten memories.
